What this valve fixes

Why replace the complete valve?
The internal O-rings and PTFE washers wear out over time. Once they stop sealing, steam can pass through the valve and leak from the end of the wand or inside the machine. Breville does not supply these internal seals separately as OEM parts, so replacing the complete valve is the sensible repair.

⚠️ This is an internal steam-system repair. Always allow the machine to cool and depressurise fully before opening it. If you are not comfortable completing the repair, contact Matt.
🔧 Service it while the machine is open
If this valve has failed, it is a good idea to service the rest of the machine while you have it apart. Heat, hard water and age can affect more than one seal or steam component.
