Description
One coffee. Roasted properly. Ready for your home machine.
I do not think choosing coffee beans needs to be complicated. Rather than giving you a confusing wall of blends, I keep it simple: one smooth, dependable coffee that I am happy to drink every day—and that works beautifully in home coffee machines.
☕ Why just one blend?
Because I would rather do one coffee well than offer twenty options that are hard to choose between. Kickstart Roast is a balanced medium to medium-dark blend with a smooth body, a touch of sweet chocolate and enough character to cut through milk without becoming harsh.
It is the coffee I recommend when you simply want to make a good cup at home, without overthinking it.
🔥 Roasted fresh, locally in WA
This coffee is roasted locally in Western Australia and supplied fresh. Freshly roasted beans make a genuine difference: better crema, fuller flavour and a more consistent shot in the cup.
That is especially important with home espresso machines. Old beans can make a perfectly good machine produce watery coffee, weak crema or a low pressure reading.
✨ What to expect in the cup
- Roast: Medium to medium-dark
- Body: Smooth and balanced
- Tasting notes: Sweet chocolate
- Best for: Everyday espresso, flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos and long blacks
⚙️ Made for home coffee machines
Kickstart Roast works well in Breville, De’Longhi, Jura and other whole-bean home coffee machines—whether you are using a manual espresso machine, an automatic machine or a built-in grinder. It is a reliable starting point for dialling in your grinder and getting a consistent daily coffee.
Please note: these are whole beans, so they are for machines with a grinder or for use with a separate coffee grinder. They are not suitable for pod or capsule machines.
📏 A simple starting point
For espresso, start with a 2:1 brew ratio and adjust your grinder to taste. If the coffee runs too quickly or tastes thin, grind a little finer. If it drips too slowly or tastes bitter, grind a little coarser. Fresh beans give you the best chance of getting this right.
🧰 A good coffee starts with a healthy machine
If fresh beans are not improving your coffee, your machine may need attention. See our coffee machine repairs and servicing information for help with low pressure, poor flow and inconsistent extraction.
